Kate Stenhouse is an established and acclaimed painter working from her remote studio in the North Tyne Valley.

As a leading artist in her area Kate’s work can be found in many private collections both nationally and abroad.

Kate is free ranging in her subject matter and approach. She aims towards a loose reality, interested in colour rather than line.

Her work is energetic and vibrant and captures the spirit of theme.

Kate describes painting as   ‘’ ………a theatre of effects and possibilities…..’’, making her work eclectic and unique each time her brush hits the paper.

With over 15 years experience Kate is renowned for her teaching and runs regular classes for all abilities in Corbridge and Kingston Park. She has lectured at Newcastle College and has run Master Classes at The Biscuit factory gallery, Newcastle.

Plenty demonstration and proven teaching methods combined with her keen sense of humour make for enjoyable sessions and guarantee success for all abilities.

Kate’s approach allows each painter to gain personal confidence and to enjoy their painting. Her enthusiasm is infectious and has helped to build her strong reputation.
